birthdays
It's been a while since I wrote, which does not mean that there was a lack of things that were done and said, merely that I've not been here to chronicle the events. Let's see....
February has been a particularly fickle month with her weather choices. Snow and sun have come in turns, with snow taking the lions share of the time. We planned to go to Chattanooga for Feb. 19 - 21, and thankfully the weather cooperated. For those of you who are not in the know, Feb 20 is and was my birthday. The weather was perfect, the people were great and the time we got to spend was well worth our drive down and back.
I was able to catch up with some friends that I haven't seen in quite some time, we're so blessed to have so many people that we know and care about. I went for a walk on the green way in Chatt. Sabbath afternoon and saw some old friends that I was hoping to see. Of course there are always those who you miss on trips like this, but I'm hopeful that we can make up for it another time. My dad and his mom, Moma Day, were able to take advantage of the good weather and come down Sunday to spend some time with my sister and I, which was a nice surprise.
The friend that we stayed with has a hot tub with jets in it and we got in both nights that we were there. Amazingly wonderful! Bobby and I are talking about getting one with our next place, since here it would basically take up the whole back patio without much room to spare.
I'm going back to work tonight, and next week I'll be working some over time as well as two weeks after that. Hopefully I won't get canceled, and I won't feel like someone's kicked me in the teeth either. We're planning a trip to Chicago in April, so that will help allot with the budget.
Our whole house has had a brushing up and shining after our trip. I spot treated and vacuumed downstairs, and between the two of us, we've done about 6 or 7 loads of laundry, and the last of it was folded this morning. Currently there are no dirty dishes in the kitchen, and so I feel like I can go into work for two nights without feeling like I have to turn a blind eye to my house while I'm in it. I think that's enough dis-jointed thinking for now.
