March...and rain

This will be a short post, as I worked last night and really shouldn't even still be awake, much less typing my thoughts into a computer. I was looking at my face book and saw I had received a message from someone I'd taken care of in the hospital. She'd just looked me up to say thanks. It was so very sweet. There are too many nights that are busy and make you feel exhausted and question whether or not you're in the right profession at all, and then there are people like her who cross your path at the right moment and give you a reason to do it all again. I thought that maybe you could be that someone, or when that someone crosses paths with you, take their thanks as genuine and be uplifted. On other notes, it's raining quite heavily outside, thankfully not inside as well. My dog hates the rain, but this morning was wonderful, went out, quickly chose a spot to add to the water falling from the sky, and when we came back in, stood perfectly for me to towel dry her of...

time marches on...

So, now it's march. What a boring way to start a blog, but it's true. We went to the movies tonight, saw Alice in Wonderland. Good in a "Brothers Grimm" sort of way. And now I'm home again. Wishing for popcorn, because I wasn't willing to spend that much money on something so cheap there at the theater. The days I worked were crazy, and I'm off until Saturday then it'll be back into the fray with more overtime to look forward to. Johnny wrote us from boot camp and let us know that his mom is going to be able to go to Chicago for his graduation, so we're not going. Which is both disappointment and relief, relief being that we don't have to save so feverishly for the trip in April, disappointment because we're not going to Chicago any time soon.... Now that our vacation is up in the air, we're planning possible trips for May/June. Atlanta, D.C., the Smokies... or just staying here and going out and doing things that we love. Decisions, De...
